Your pizza sauce … Your pizza sauce recipe tasted delicious! My wife & I didn’t have the time or chance to make your pizza dough recipe because we were STARVING to death when we thought about having pizza. We ended up just buying a pizza crust from Walmart.
If you are too lazy to make pizza sauce then I definitely recommend Buitoni Marinara Sauce or Barilla Green & Black Olive Sauce.
I’m Jewish. Those are the BEST 2 Kosher sauces I’ve found.
there’s too much … there’s too much garlic in the sauce,it’s better to put a whole piece of garlic instead of cutting it into little pieces. and the colour is too dark, maybe tomatoes are not real san marzano.
this was a great … this was a great recipe!!!! made like 5 pizzas all 4m scratch using ur dough and sauce recipe and they turned out awesome!i gave some out to my friends and they even told me i ought to have my own pizza parlor heehee =) thanx alot chef john, ur the best!

Some acids react … Some acids react with some metals and not all acids react with all metals. It all depends on what is reacting with what. However, assuming there is a reaction, the acid will dissolve the metal to produce the metal salt of that acid; at the same time it will produce hydrogen gas…..Knowing this i like to cook with wooden or silicone spoons when i know high acidity is a factor.
I made the recipe … I made the recipe according the site and I found it to be too spicy and the herbs and garlic were overpowering. I halved the spices and added less garlic and it came out really good. I used store bought pizza dough and grated mozzarella and a little Parmesan. Thanks for the recipe, my pizza tasted amazing
also, I found … also, I found crushed san marzanos. They had very little seeds and saved a lot of time and labor of cutting and deseeding the whole peeled variety.
As previously … As previously posted, we may want to consider halving the hot stuff. I like the zing, but others thought it to be too spicy hot.
